Being married. Being a dad. Being way past my 20s and not having to call it "adulting" but just living. Making real money. Having (at least some) influence over decisions. Having some shred of wisdom from experience to help the next generation find their path. Mentoring. Seeing younger people succeed because of a nudge or steer I gave them. Not having to pretend I'm into things I'm not. Going to bed before 10pm, getting up before 5am, and that being finally age appropriate.
I could go on. But I enjoy adulting way more than I did flailing around in my early 20s.
Love this response
I don’t have to eat anything I don’t like. That’s probably the best part, everything else is a drag.
Fair
Having the money and autonomy to do anything I want, buy anything I want, go anywhere I want. And having learned discipline and grit when I was younger that helps me stay happy and healthy today.
Being a parent. Easily the most rewarding and fun aspect of life (father of 3).
As someone TTC, this makes me really happy to hear.
I like exercising after work. Running and biking outside, specifically.
Also like sleeping and disposable income. No small humans running around constantly, asking for stuff, meal planning, etc. love my cat!
I enjoy studying new courses!
Especially MBAs
Being able to eat ice cream for dinner if I want.
And never having to study for a test again.

Wish I had been tested earlier in my career.
getting to adulthood…being alive is a gift. Being relatively healthy, and your loved ones too- a gift when it lasts. All the cliches, not gonna list them. But being alive on earth, as f*cked as things often feel these days, being alive is still beautiful. I feel you, truly. Hoping something gives you that little gasp of wonder soon (did you know yellow-fleshed watermelons existed?) I didn’t 💛. So many things large and small to still discover and appreciate. Wishing you some magic soon, that makes the tired feel less, tiresome.
Ice cream dinners.
Omg are you me. Feel so drained and tired all the time and I’m only mid 30s. Not to mention I’m moving this week 😮💨
It’s rough out here🥺
Oh my god I have so much more money than I used to
lol same I remember going out to get drinks at the bar in my early 20’s with $11 to my name
Find joy in the little things that you have, happiness is created not bought...
Who said enjoy got anything to do with it?
Reconnect with your inner child. Check out, take a class or study all those things you wanted to do or found interesting when you were a kid, but didn’t have the resources to do. Break out of your own limiting thoughts.
If you have a kid of your own share those experiences with them. Check out what they find interesting, let them take you into their world.
Eating ice cream for breakfast and turning the food pyramid upside down! Maintaining trust and transparency in all that I do at work, regardless of ROIs, and the other alphabets at an ad agency. Acknowledging my amazing accomplishments when folks have no idea what my career of 25-years of below the line and below the scenes work entails. Posting on an app call Fish Bowl. How transparent is that?
