Why is getting promotion so hard in USDC? In my previous companies the manager would himself/herself approach with promotion opportunity.

At a boutique firm for just over a year, I know this isn’t the best place for my growth, but a promotion is coming. Am I better of sticking around or try to go to MBB or big 4 at an associate level?

I graduate with my Masters degree in statistics in a couple months. Should I expect/ask for a raise because of that?

Let's say, one has got hike letter during X month for promotion and that person has resigned at the end of X month to pursue better opportunities. The hike letter says the revised CTC is effective X+1 month without any explicit date mentioned.

I was promoted to marketing director in April but didn’t get a raise. This is when the CMO left and my workload has since doubled and I have four people reporting to me.
