Why generalist PE Ops vs MBB:
1. Make changes not pages
2. Lots more money (not so much on first year, but comp diverges a lot over time). Also carry is taxed lower so after tax comp gap is even greater vs MBB partners
3. Much better exit jobs. Real shot at CxO roles at real companies after 4-8 years of PE Ops. Many CEO exits as well. (vs strategy and ops out of MBB)
4. Usually less travel / more flexibility for personal commitments (but hours are similar to MBB. This is not a 9 to 5 job)

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!

One of my junior associates recently resigned and I've been trying to make an exit myself for several months now. The job market has been really competitive but I am getting closer to getting a new job and moving on. The firm culture isn't great and work-life balance is non existent.
