soo my sleep schedule is effed up, i keep trying to wake up early-ish (7am) but i’m lacking motivation and i wake up tired 😴
i stumbled upon this article that talked about this book. we always hear about the “secret” of strong leaders is that they wake up early. has anyone read this/tried it out?

Those are distinct types of projects without a standard way to compare them. I can speak to Implementation at M. We don’t come in and run up a bill for years to do basic PM work - rather we use thoughtful touch points to guide leadership in maximized realized value incrementally and assuring continued delivery success in a clients change moment. I’ve been on many engagements where the clients are already working with a consultancy but aren’t seeing value unless they hit some far off milestone - hence, we’re engaged to help alleviate some of the issues. All of this info can be found on our public Implementation site.
As for analytics, IT, and other areas I can only say that we have both a breadth and depth of experience and expertise to handle complex problems. MBBs also have strong brands in consulting and clients may attribute this perception to all types of consulting other than what MBBs historically have specialized in.
Hope that helps, check out our website(s) to learn more.
Reading your comments, you sound like a kick ass consultant
I’d say for most cases they are better in these projects. That’s why they do much more of them. But when the CEO gets involved, they often bring us in. Accenture / IBM etc have superior technical capabilities. But we speak the language a CEO understands.
An example from my own career: massive IT project, Accenture was in with 150 FTE, on-site and remote. Suddenly CEO gets informed that project is 1yr behind schedule and $10M over budget. Loses all faith in everybody involved. Hits pause and calls us to do 2 month diagnostic where the project wad screwed up and restructure project leadership.
They're not better at these projects. They have strong brand in corporate strategy work and have been leveraging that brand to move into IT/Analytics work the past decade or so.
They don't nearly have the breadth and depth like IBM or Accenture, despite what M1 said below. IBM and Accenture both have well over 300,000 employees, and MBB companies have between 10,000 and 30,000.
The talent quality for developers is higher at MBB, but not enough to justify their premiums.

Apparently not
Relationships and general brand strength are likely the top 2 reasons. Another big reason is convenience, especially if one of MBB's recommendations was to launch the analytics/implementation/whatever work.
Relationships, brand, AND past experience, from what I've seen. If a client has been burned before, they'll fight until the end of time to avoid engaging
