Got an offer at a T2 consulting (think Strategy&, EY-Parthenon or Accenture as an undergrad hire but I’ve been also applying for grad school and I’m considering deferring my start date if I get an Ivy League/equivalent cuz I don’t wanna miss out on that opportunity to go to a top grad program (I asked and company was okay with this). I’m wondering if they would adjust my compensation if I come in as a grad hire upon graduation?

Rough GPA but shoot your shot, HS is a crapshoot
Yeah that’s the part that really keeps me up at night hahaha
How did you get into Bain with that GPA from state school?!
This. These days if you have the right angle as an experienced hire and then good execution on approach/interviews you can do it
What are you reasons for going to B-school?
Honestly, brand/networking/2 year paid vacation. I strongly believe in the value of learning from others’ experiences and making like-minded connections. Maybe meet a co founder and start something, who knows. Also people seem to eventually hit a ceiling without an MBA career path wise
M7 definitely a good shot. HSW tricky but not impossible
Lol sorry I misread your comment I mean in terms of which to target, each is different and unique in their own way. Wharton is definitely the easiest to get into
Do you want to stay at Bain or leave? If sponsored not sure if m7 matters too much. Have a Bain friend who went to lbs, presume it was just for a 2 year European party lol
What are some areas you're interested in exploring post-Bain (if that's a concept)? For me, I want to transition to mobility-focused tech / entreprenurship so I only applied to schools with a really good rep there (Stanford, MIT, Berkeley) in R1. Other schools were relatively less interesting to me and I was under a bit of a time crunch. However if I were in your boat and really liked my current career trajectory I'd 💯 just look at it purely from where I'd want to visit haha
If you have a strong why mba and ST/LT then everything you said above should translate well to your application. Your gmat score offsets your gpa, just write an optional essay explaining your low gpa (ex: had to build your own network as the first in your fam to go into corporate, had to financially sustain yourself through college, etc.). You’ve got this!!!
