Work anniversary coming up and I’m feeling a bit burnt out. How do you guys rejuvenate your passion for healthcare when the days start to feel the same?

For me it helps to zoom out, and think about how grateful I am for the basic needs I have met and the little things that I get to enjoy. Putting work into perspective of my overall life decreases the emphasis on how I need to find meaning in work itself, which I think makes it less enjoyable ironically.

I feel this deep in my soul.

Did anyone attend the Salesforce world tour in London today?

I’m seriously enatkng to get into an SE role and have been searching for Associate Sales Engineers that do NOT require SE experience since I’ve none. It’s proving to be difficult. Most companies for some reason are requiring 2-3 years of experience for the Associate role. 😭 Any Sales Engineers who know of companies hiring those with no experience? I am in tech as a BDR already.

The budget for the project I was on got cut, but the leadership on my team said they don’t want to lose me and so they transferred me to a different project on the same account. I did some initial work and was told they’d follow up on next steps with my new team in the next few days but haven’t heard anything since and I’ve got no idea what to do now - any advice on how to handle this?

Does anyone know if this is normal? I joined a vault 100 firm in September last year. The firm put me on tier 7. In January I had the associate review and everything was normal. After a couple of weeks, I got the call from the hiring partner telling my bonus and new salary (because of the firm-wide salary increase). I realized I still get paid as a 7 year associate. The partner said because I joined the firm later in the year, it’s normal not to advance in the next year. Is it? Thanks!

Additional Posts in Healthcare

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.

HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? I have 15 years within the organization, left for 10 months to be remote during the pandemic while sorting out childcare as immunocompromised family helped.
