Worked for about 2 years as a property claims adjuster: wanted to make more money so got into the agency side. A year in now and it’s so inconsistent, commissions payout so slowly, I think I might get back into claims.

Am I crazy? Claims was a drag but atleast I knew what that paycheck was gonna be…

Just started a new in-house tech fl gig and it’s giving me whiplash! Somehow this dept has brought every person/toxic behavior from their old agency just to a new environment. Nowhere is perfect but good god. I honestly think companies/HR could learn a lot about their depts from freelancers.

I’m ready to put my small business on the back burner so I can look for outside employment. I haven’t heard from any of the companies I applied to. What am I doing wrong or should be doing? Thanks

I went for 3 interviews with a company met with vp and was given package thinking I aced interview there was another candidate 😞 the other person for the job. The VP calls me to tell me I didn’t get position however he wants me to re apply in new year that something else will be open, and that he wanted to keep a copy of my resume what does this mean ? Should I apply again in new year or don’t bother ?

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!
