I have worked on multiple Google projects and tools, ranging from spreadsheets to Google Data Studio. Basis familiarity with the Google systems, I have applied to endless jobs in the organisation. However, I have no idea why is it sooooo difficult to even get an HR call for the screening.

Hello everyone! I recently pivoted from working in advertising to working at an early-stage fintech startup. I'm looking to speak with business finance leaders who manage corporate cash and credit lines for their companies to learn more about your tools and your approach to cash management. I'll buy you lunch/coffee for your time.
If interested shoot me an email me at kathryn@crescent.app! And thank you!!

I’m job hunting in Los Angeles, looking at a variety of titles (HRBP, Sr. HRBP, Manager, Sr. Manager, Director). I have 8 YOE and my SHRM-SCP. I reached my report limit on payscale.com, so I used a variety of other sites to price the roles (BLS, salary.com, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, Robert Half). The problem I’m having is the huge inconsistencies between sources (there are $40k differences between some of the identified medians). (Continued…)

Make sure you put your resume on as many job sites as you can (Craigslist, zip-recruiter, indeed, LinkedIn, etc). I was contacted by my current employer on zip recruiter without even applying!
Helpful to include a cover letter expressing how you intend to handle both your business and the new role. Recruiters could see that you’re already occupied full-time and assume you won’t have time for their job responsibilities.
Unfortunately today’s applicant tracking systems put your résumé in an abyss of other resumes and even the best applicants are not seen by the human eye. Good goal is to ensure that your credentials get to the desk of a hiring manager and the best way to do that is through networking. Make a list of everybody that you know, especially those who are centers of influence and know a lot of people. They don’t have to be in your industry or professional area of expertise. It could be a neighbor. Make sure everybody you know knows you’re looking and what you’re looking for. LinkedIn is also a very good place for looking for viable opportunities and applying to them because you often go directly to a recruiters inbox. If you go this route make sure your LinkedIn profile is fully up-to-date along with a professional picture. Best of luck to you
