What would you do if you didn’t need money? I have a fair amount coming one day and don’t actually need to work to live a good life (middle / upper-middle class). I work because of this vague notion of “ambition” and because everyone I grew up around is highly competitive and hard driving. Benefits Question: how is the health insurance where you are? How does your employer handle it?

This has become one of the most important things when interviewing for me. My last employer went from having no insurance option to giving us one terrible plan that they contributed 50% towards. My current employer works with Gravie so we get so much per month and can use it towards any plan on the marketplace. Only thing that sucks is the contributions are post-tax so it counts as income.

$325k TC at MBB in a non-generalist (still partner track) path. Love the intellectual variety, smart colleagues, flexibility (WFH has let me take occasional 2-3h windows during the day for personal activities) - can’t take the stress anymore. Plan to go to B-school in 3 years (1 year out of UG now). Long term goal is entrepreneurship. Have offers at a MBB firm for a generalist consultant role and at FAANG for a strategy role. FAANG offer is slightly higher (though both are a 50+% bump on my current comp). Both would have me reset to entry level. Which one should I take?
