I'm feeling quite down today.
soo my sleep schedule is effed up, i keep trying to wake up early-ish (7am) but i’m lacking motivation and i wake up tired 😴
i stumbled upon this article that talked about this book. we always hear about the “secret” of strong leaders is that they wake up early. has anyone read this/tried it out?

💯 Yes. And you get to work with nicer people too.
Left D for a similar raise and haven’t looked back. Love it here!

The big4 are more or less interchangeable overall. The differences are by practice area, so hard to say just firm to firm. If $17k is a 20%+ bump, not even a question... leave. If it’s less than 10%, consider how much you like your work, how close you are to the next promotion, how happy you are with your team, how much you like the partners you work the most with, etc.
Absolutely! Which practice?
There is a group annual bonus for managers and above. But nothing for anyone below.
If you’re mostly happy here and enjoy the work then I’d wait for the promotion and then look again later on down the road. $17k and a promotion 6-12 months earlier isn’t enough to compensate for having to start from ground zero building your internal network again. It sounds like you have a great network and project selection here which are two important (and under appreciated) factors in a job.

What are you at now? Going to $80k to $97k is a much more substantial increase in your day-to-day than from $150k to $167k.

Take the money. If it sucks, go somewhere else after a year for another $17k bump. You’re not senior enough to the point where your internal brand really matters.
I would hesitate. Deloitte has much better growth potential. If you are starting to build a decent network, I would stay Deloitte. If you don’t like the people you work with/for, leave. KPMG is among the weakest of the Big 4, Deloitte among the strongest.
Same question as D3!
No I heard KPMG is a culture of lies and deceit

Yes the WLB and people are better at K from my experience
Sounds like you're pretty happy where you are. Might consider waiting to get that promotion and holding out for a better exit.
Depends on the group. Some groups are great, others meh. Good exit ops from certain groups in Advisory into FAANG fwiw. 17k may not necessarily be worth the jump.
What groups are good and which are meh? I have an offer in considering as well.
Nope
why?
