Would you hire a customer success manger from marketing background?

I’m trying to make that transition myself. I feel like a lot of the relationship-building, communication, and customer-facing skills carry over pretty well. My only concern is that I’ve never worked for a SaaS company before.

Do you think that’s a major hurdle, or are companies generally open to people coming from adjacent backgrounds?

Deciding on a career path

I feel like my brain works like a consultant, and I would enjoy consulting, but I also looove all things finance & investing. While I don’t necessarily have extensive experience in the field (most of what I know is self taught, my major is accounting), I want to get involved in it somehow and learn more.

I currently work in audit, I’m not sure what exit opportunities are an option for me for the investing/finance industry. Feel like chances are are slim. Any advice?

Currently I am not finding my profession fulfilling due to many barriers for progress. I have a strong statistics background and am looking to switch to a fast paced career in management consulting. I'm accepting an offer with a new company... Start in early Aug. Senior Manager role, though in this company that equates to Manager at most consulting farms. They did not had hunt me. I came to them for the job.
