Account executive because your job is 100% bullshit, you make more money, and salesforce is the chilliest company.
Come on over! I personally wouldn’t go from ACN into Salesforce consulting bc ACN is known to be better in the consulting space, but ops/product/sales/advisory roles are great and the culture is better. :)
EA1 - not 100% sure but I know the lower AEs (around 25 yr old) make around 150k easily.
Is that base? Any idea how much of their compensation is based off of sales
Lol D1 definitely false
Haha how is their job bullshit? I have a couple people I can use for referral, but I think I would have to get certified I’m guessing?
Op I would recommend going through Trailhead to learn but also to acquire badges which you can put on your resume +LinkedIn. Also would recommend mike wheelers courses off of udemy in case you wanted to study for certifications
I’ve found it to be relatively difficult to get a SE role even with a SF employee referral.. they are getting most of their SEs straight out of college in their “Scout” program and training them these days
How much do sf account executives make anyway?
Accenture why, do you have a choice? They don’t just let anyone because an enterprise account executive. You may have to start off doing inside sales or middle market sales until you prove yourself
“100% bullshit” is an exaggeration but their functional/technical know-how is not great compared to a BTA.
I’ve seen AEs push extensions/suggestions that a sane consultant would never bring up because, as I said before, they bullshit. Not hating still love salesforce.
Seems like they're doing their job to sell. They're not responsible for understanding all the technical aspect.
OP how about go be a solution engineer at SFDC. You get to sell and be a bit more technical than your usual AE
PwC1 - Yea I would like that type of role!
D1 - Oh I see now
Did your friends start as consultants or were they always salesman? My cousin is a enterprise sales rep for another company and 250k is a bad yr for him. He’s also pretty dumb which makes me think to myself if he can do that well I know I can do better so yea...
It’d be great to work at SFDC. Their culture seems really great - gotta love a company that gives you free food and lets your wear sneakers to work. Plus they seem to have a real commitment to ethics and equality.
I have yet to meet a person who could be a good AE and be a good consultant. Completely different skill sets.
If they have both the skills, they would be a solutions engineer. Technically there, and part of the sales cycle
