I've been contacted by a recruiter from PwC about roles in their new "PwC Cloud Practice".
Does anyone have any info on this new practice and how it differs to mainline PwC?
I know a lot of Management Consultancies set up their Tech Subsidiaries like a poor relative with sub par expenses and compensation policies etc. Don't know if this is the case here?

A toxic team is like that reality show survivor. You have your daily job to survive, on top of that you have to manage the vote. These toxic teams always need a target. There’s usually someone leading it and a lot of weak people playing along. Overthrowing the leader takes a lot of risk, it’s a high stakes game. I’ll take the mediocre salary, find a different side gig to make up the difference.
Amazing team with mediocre salary. All day. So many positives that come along with it, the top being a better WLB and significantly less stressful workplace atmosphere, which means you’re shedding less years of your life / aging slower than those making more but are surrounded by toxic environment.

Toxic coworkers. At my first job after undergrad (not consulting), I had a toxic manager while making $18/hour. Never experienced anyone as toxic as that person, including in consulting

Amazing team every time. It will perform better over time leading to much better WLB and quickly more income.
Having experienced both of these situations at multiple companies throughout my career. Mediocre pay and a stellar team does promote a better quality of life, and helps manage burnout. It mitigates you having to work extra hard to justify your existence, and allows you to focus on the things that are inarguably more important (friends, family, investments, etc.)
