Problem is I don't want to live in Florida. I genuinely llike living in Boston
That’s fair, Florida and Boston and very different vibes
Do you want to live in South Florida or are you anchored to Boston? If you’re generally open to living there, the opportunity is compelling and you want to make a job switch anyways, I’d say yes do it.
If you want to make a job switch, I think there are a lot of industries that are back to 5 days in person so any new you take will likely be that anyways. Heavily industry dependent, of course.
Also, if you’re early career (less than 10-15 years of experience), I do think being in-person is better for career development and learning.
It’s funny to not want your future wife to contribute to the mortgage.. what if they want to contribute? What if they make more than you?
Idk if i could deal w all the maga down there. Would have to be an amazing opportunity.
Okay fair enough. At best would be a 10-15% raise but different path that’ll push me closer to more money in the future
Are you getting interviews for roles in FL? If so, how ? Most places (in my experience) want someone already local.
I applied on the company website and I interviewed. Depends on your industry tbh some fields don’t have the local talent for it
