Just because they’re doing 1:1 doesn’t mean you’ll get different salary bumps (if at all). Most of the time raises are set before conversations take place, and many agencies (not all) are sensitive to ensuring that partners receive the same salary. So i wouldn’t worry too much about it. That said, it’s easy enough to voice your desire to have an equal salary as your partner. Best of luck!!
What's a salary increase?
Adding to Ogilvy 1 above… Just have a pow-wow w/ your partner before the 1:1s and go into them the with the same raise number in mind if they ask (they probably won’t b/c they love only paying you a raise that THEY want you to have).
Be sure to also go in with the same list of [your team] accomplishments.
ACD 1, I can concur. I used to use pow-wow a lot, but heard it’s no longer PC, and have since retired it.
As someone who’s moved with the same partner to 4 different agencies this is usually how it’s done. Reviews are private but they typically ultimately give you the same bump if you’re working as a team. It’s also usually less of a you asking for a number and more you making the case for why you deserve a raise and they’ll tell you how much. You should talk to each other after your review and if they give you different amounts fight for whoever got less to get more (but again it’s never happened to me).
Seems counterintuitive but I’d align with partner and tell agency you should both be paid the same
