I just joined our planning committee and have to come up with ideas for Hispanic Heritage Month (virtually). But no one on the committee is Hispanic so any ideas on how to authentically celebrate?
Bought a Burberry Pimlico Heritage Car Coat. Most money I’ve ever spent on a coat, but it looks great! Now time for the accompanying scarf...
Hispanic Heritage month, how have you seen it celebrated best at an agency (other than food and booze)?
Can you dress up a Tudor Heritage Ranger on a SS bracelet? Or is it better to just go with a Heritage BB 41? Looking for some versatility to swap to a brown leather band for a casual look as well.

First day on new project and I'm seating right next to the client... Looks like I'll have to be productive most of the time #FML
I was due for a promotion but then covid hit, and during the peak of layoffs/furloughs, I was given the run-around that we have agency wide promotion freezes, etc. Over the past month, a handful of people have been promoted. I know everyone's situation is different but I can't help feeling snubbed. How do I know whether they are genuinely trying to promote me and can't, versus them stringing me along for as long as possible? I dont want it to come to having to bring another offer to the table..
Is there just not a lot going on this week? I've been trying to get some PD work this week since on the bench and haven't been able to get anything.
Final flight of the week... 3 hr hop in J :) managed to inadvertently lean back in seat and caress stewardess standing behind me.... fortunately she took it in good spirit! #dontwanttomeetanairmarshal
Any worked or interviewed at AlixPartner willing to share some insights? Have an interview next week
New to home purchase. Is there a significant tax benefit to having a home office? I have a spare room I can convert into a home office but I usually work out of my bed or a couch.
I keep reading all these posts about firms laying off a ton of people. Can someone explain what happens after one gets laid off? Like do they just fire you and that's it? What happens to the pay? Etc.
23 years old. Working in Finance - making around $75K right out of college. Finishing up my 2 year program next summer. Been living at home with my parents since graduation. I graduated in 2019 with $30K student loans + $10K Medical Debt. Almost done paying that off (pandemic escalated my path to paying down debt). What should be my next step to grow wealth? Property / Stocks? What does being debt-free feel like? Should I slow down pay down of debt & focus on growing investments?
Im Hispanic & Pacific Islander, should I play that card when I apply for my MBA. Top 10 or bust (and I want to go to a school in the east coast) heard using islander was better. Any thoughts?
Just got a meeting invite from partner titled “compensation discussion”. What does it mean? With the current environment, this sounds scary.
Looking for new ways to keep technical skills sharp as I do not use them in my current consulting role. Specifically, looking for ideas to apply analytics/ds and financial analysis skills I had gained while in industry.

Anyone else get so demotivated being at Deloitte and knowing what the next 10 years of your work life looks like? I can tell you when I’ll go up for promotion, frustrations I’ll face, salary etc...
People across all firms that were laid off, what level, business competency and industry were you aligned to?
6 weeks pregnant and have had bleeding and cramping all day. 😔 any stories where this didn’t end in miscarriage?
How high a base salary can go in a big bank? I’m not referring to the total comp (TC) but only base salary before bonus... I assume the highest it can go is up to the CEO’s base but, realistic speaking, what is the maximum i should expect or better put, dream as a potential base salary? I’m currently a SVP, it is somewhere between a VP and a director.
Hi There, I’m a Senior freelance Digital PM/Producer based out of Toronto, Canada. I figure with remote work being the norm now, there would be more opportunity to collaborate with US agencies. Has anyone had the experience of doing this? I know some agencies have strict hiring protocol but I am incorporated. Any advice would help! Thank you
How do you deal with an SO that doesn't have the funds to alt travel with you? Don't want to leave them behind but also don't want to waste my alt travel benefits
Any insight as to how much travel is typical for senior roles (principal and above) at KPMG? BCG has a high volume of travel, looking for alternatives
I will be joining a fortune 20 org and they want me to travel to Bangalore just to pick up the laptop. When asked why can't you ship it to my address, they said who's going to pay for the damage? There's no proper follow up from the talent team about joining formalities. I am shocked to see the culture.
I started my career at PWC audit in 2019 and got laid off last year due to covid. I got an offer and started working at a 2 tier (BDO, RSM, GT... level) accounting firm for 1 month. Now PWC partner extended me an offer to go back. Any thoughts?
I’m a BigLaw IP lit associate and I’ve applied for an in-house lit counsel role at a tech company. I’m a 4th year and they’re looking for someone in my range to help senior lit counsel. I’m looking for more info on in-house lit roles, particularly at companies with big enough departments to have more junior lit counsel (although not so big that it’s an entire lit team). My hope is a little better balance and fewer nasty meet&confers. Anyone made this transition? Am I delusional re balance?
Has anyone ever missed a training with a cancellation fee? I am so sick but worried about the chargeback for missing a class. Advice?

I came from the industry and just by comparison, I feel that industry folks are much smarter than folks in big 4. Industry execs really know their stuff, no fluff talk. Anyone else feels the same?
