I am Fully vaccinated but if I declare that I am partially vaccinated will they get to know my bluff? Actually I am not much interested to go back to office as of now may be in february it will be fine for me

They don't always start CPAs at 9, sometimes it is a 7 for Small Business Self Employed Revenue Agents. It really depends on the job you get. Check out Usajobs.gov for job postings. There are some that start at 11 if you qualify in Large Business or CI. There is a lot of red tape at the IRS and lots of paperwork (actual paper lol.) It is a pretty strict 40 hour week for most jobs and you can't really put in "extra time" without approval. The extra time is credited like leave that you have to use. This might sound like a good thing, but imagine needing 30-60 minutes to finish something at the client aka taxpayer. The client is a 2 1/2 hour drive one way and you don't get approved. You have to have a 5 hour round trip to finish up. Also, you probably have to schedule another appointment and hold onto the case for a month or two depending on how far out you are booked. You really aren't supposed to make copies of everything and bring it back. Anything you do copy probably has to get put in the file... So if you make copies and bring it back you can get talked to about the importance of doing the work in field. Also, if you stay you might get a talk about time card fraud, because you worked time you didn't put on your time card. If you don't mind just coming back the next day or next appointment it is not too bad.
Salary is GS level public knowledge.
GS is the general schedule standard federal pay scale. It's adjusted for location so find where you are on the schedule.

IRS starts CPA IRS agents at GS-9, you can move up from there or go up a few levels if you're specialized or a manager, etc. Pay isn't great comparatively but it's a federal job so at least you have those hours. Though from appeals agents who have complained to me over the phone about their hours I don't really know if that's even true anymore.
Sometimes IRS employees complain about the extra hours even though they get to take them off later... They think working more than 40 hours is too much. Appeals is really understaffed in most areas, so it may be true
Sorry. What is GS?
Very interesting, thanks!
TM1 Thank you for the details.
