Hey folks - I have an inquiry on my credit for a gym membership I “failed to cancel”. I had previously left this gym as it closed during pandemic, and shifted to a new location. In doing so, I informed the gym I would be leaving. However, I recently checked my credit and saw that my membership had not been cancelled and had been sent to collections (prompting an inquiry and dropping my score).

Has anyone experienced this, and is aware of next steps to take here?

They asked me about ideas on what to do. I made some shit up. Now they’re doing it. And they’ve involved me. Why do I open my mouth? Why do people ask for my thoughts? Don’t, just don’t.

Do most tech/SaaS companies make prospective employees sign NDAs? I'm interviewing for the first time in awhile and am entering into a final round with a company who wants me to sign an NDA prior to the interview. I’m a newly graduate from a community college. My program of study was Health Information Technician. I passed my RHIT exam a month ago, and I’ve been applying to jobs in state, out of state, and remotely to only receive “sorry you were not selected email.”I don’t have experience and I know that’s the reason I’m not getting selected. I’ve applied for receptionist, medical biller/coordinator, and medical clerk. Even with inflation willing to work for minimum wage or less just to gain experience.

What’s happening at the hearing? Anyone have a quick summary?

I've been a solo for nearly 20 years and built a small firm from the ground up. Now my practice (5 lawyers plus support staff, total 13 people) is being eyed by a midsize firm. They want me to keep building what I've been doing, except with their resources behind me. It sounds like a wonderful opportunity, but I'm torn over giving up what I built.

Has anyone gone from solo (and a mildly successful solo doing super meaningful work) to a larger firm? I see a lot of posts going the other way.

I was wondering if anybody on here has warned their replacement to basically run and not take the job?? I’m leaving my job next Friday due to a toxic boss that was hired three years ago. I have a week and a half to train my replacement who I really happen to like and I really feel like I need to warn her not to put down roots. I know I shouldn’t even be concerning myself with this, but I’m feeling a lot of guilt not telling her the real reason I’m leaving-has anyone done this?
