Hi Everyone! I’m torn between which HR certification to pursue (SHRM-SCP or SPHR). Which one would you recommend and why?
Are you or have you been the sole HR person at the company? What are the pros & cons? I haven’t been, but a recruiter reached out with an opportunity to be one. They currently use the parent company’s HR but are buying themselves out to be a stand alone firm. TIA!
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
How long, on average, did it take you to study before you could pass the PHR/SPHR exam? Did you think it was worth it?
Hi everyone! Looking for some guidance on resources you use for benchmarking for workforce planning/DEI specifically in the tech space?
Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!
Is there a way to verify an email address without sending emails? I need to verify A TON of emails, but don’t need to actually send them emails myself.
Advice on taking and passing the SPHR exam?
If you are feeling sick or something during the day and WFH, do you feel comfortable napping it off and then getting back to work and working late if needed? I have friends that say this is totally normal and okay but I feel weird about it and can never actually rest to feel better if I do lay down
Anyone here work at PwC in North America? Curious about the work culture and if there's anything to watch out for
Just signed a new employment contract! Any tips for coming up with a good 90 day gameplan? There's nothing like new sales guy energy. The less you know the easier it is I've always found. Somehow the new guy always landed great number his first week or few weeks. Any tips, ideas, strategies to make the most of this 'new guy' energy? Cheers folks
To those who have several years of experience ion TA: Do you think staying in the campus recruiting space limits you? Should one try to get exposure to other HR areas for the long run?
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Anyone work in Campus Recruiting? How are you planning for fall given uncertainty at schools/likelihood of virtual learning?
How long does it take to get over ptsd from being in a toxic micromanaging environment? I was a top biller and top manager at a large staffing company for five years and was treated like a child. The place was crazy. Six months into my new role I’m still scared to request PTO or afraid that my boss would be mad if she found that I took an afternoon break to walk my dog.
Ladies & Gentlemen, with one month left in Q2, some will fall short of our numbers. Others will hit them. I can’t speak for all of us here, however, I can speak for myself. That being said, I will NOT be one that comes up short of my number. Now, this leads me to you all, to present a question. If you have to prospect, if you’re looking for new business, is it worth $1500 to put 95% of your prospecting process on autopilot? If so, let’s chat.
I’m planning to buy the study materials for the SHRM-CP certificate through Amazon. What are the best ones to obtain?
I want to quit n work for my audit client. Do I just ask to roll off and explain why? I can't interview till I'm off it but don't want to get pped pissed since I need support from him for the new role

I'm on track for a promotion at Amazon but I'm so tired of working there that I can't stand it and am starting to get offers from slightly smaller companies. What should I do?
Looking for some insight into the recruiting process. If a req was taken down after I had an interview, does it mean the job was filled? From the moment the hiring manager makes a decision and tells the recruiter, what are next steps before the successful candidate is notified? Do you have to finalize an offer with the comp team?
Thinking of leaving current firm (MBB). received offers for operating director roles at some innovative companies. base salary/annual bonus is even w/ current, however equity is 100-150k/yr. thoughts?
A more specific follow up from earlier post. And thanks to everyone. I am going to be starting a specialty consulting business with a colleague and will immediately hire one salaried employee. We will have enough revenue and want to offer full benefits and 401k, for owners also. I talked to TriNet (suggested here as a good PEO) but they need a minimum of 5 employees. I would like to have someone manage payroll, benefits, and 401k. Any other suggestions?
Does anyone have advice on getting the most compensation post-clerkship? I will probably end up going back to my current firm, but is there flexibility to negotiate a bigger clerkship bonus if I get offers from other firms? Can I ask to get paid a class year above my actual year? Are boutique firms the way to go on this? (NY/DC market)
So, I'm really curious, for those of us who aren't essential workers, how are you handling return to work? Phases? 50% capacity? Self Identifying disclosures? Sanitization stations?
Looking to exit Deloitte as a SM with 10 years of experience of providing advisory services for healthcare and life sciences companies globally. Please DM if there are any industry opportunities!

Is there any way to change a school culture where the classroom teachers view the specialists as second class citizens? This is a big problem in one of my buildings.
As people start going back to the office/clients, I’m begging you, please stay home if you don’t feel well. I would have thought that was the one thing minimum everyone would’ve learned over the last year, but I guess not. Even if it’s not covid, there’s still no need to risk getting other people sick.
Quoted $100-120K, 10% bonus, no RSU for Sales Strategy & Ops at Salesforce (4.5 YOE). Super lowball right?
What does BDO's benefits look like?
Question - how many interview rounds is normal before an offer? I’m doing a third round early next week and it feels like a lot. First round was 2 partners, second round was 2 associates, third round is 2 partners again (different ones). Is that a good or bad sign?
Is a covid rapid test okay to take if I have no symptoms? Feel totally fine just need to take one before skiing
