What’s a fair salary increase after a year of inflation?

Hey friends, I've been in sales for over ten years in retail/ hospitality.

I'm focusing my efforts to make a switch into tech sales and id like to work for AWS.

I completed a tech sales bootcamp and have purchased a couple books on sales methodology, more so enhancing sales + active listening skills.

If anybody would be willing to chat! I'd love more insight on roles Within AWS tech sales.

I am going to move in the next few month to a location with a higher cost of living due to personal circumstances. I love my current company but I’ve only been here a little over a month, how should I go about requesting if it’s possible to get a salary increase? Might be a stretch but thought it might be worth mentioning.

Curious how other companies are position their 2023 December holiday calendar.

Christmas falls on a Monday next year. Is your company observing the Friday before (22nd) as eve? Or are they observing the 26th as day after?

Any recommendations to avoid feeling sleep towards the end of the work day? 3-5 PM I start doing the famous head bob if you know what I mean 🤣

- Does anyone know who Accenture uses for their 3rd party background checks?
- If i allow them to contact my current employer, do they still ask for W2’s and Paystubs?

Young professional with 3 years of retail banking experience, 1 year of claims experience, and now roughly 6 months into insurance sales. Between selling in retail banking environment and every month of insurance sales regularly pacing 200% or over to goal. Loving comp but not loving the call center environment and hoping to move to another lucrative sales position with less non stop calls. Any suggestions?

Per SHRM, I was just curious if any HR Professionals completely removed the following fields: social security number, recommend salary, graduation dates, military discharge info, race, maiden name like (Ms. Mrs. Ms), & criminal history questions. Hello Are they any other HR licenses that are as valuable as the SHRM and HRCI ?

I just started with a company as an HR Generalist. Within the 3 weeks of being there, my boss’s boss left, and today I found out my boss gave notice. HR is not valued at the company and it’s disheartening to know I was hired into a mess. Hello! Will be receiving a $400 stipend from my new org for office setup. I currently have a 15” 2015 Pro, my husband has a Lenovo, I’ll be provided with a work laptop, we have a used office desk.
