I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.

Wondering what people think about my situation. I’ve been offered a role with a company. The job description didn’t mention college degree as a requirement. On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). It’s a 4 year degree and under this I have my High School equivalent with the years I attended there. The education wasn’t mentioned in the interviews. Continued below.

In your experience, what is the best way to effectively and efficiently delegate work to junior attorneys? Or, if you are a junior attorney, what works well when you are on the receiving end?

Hi 👋🏻 Would love some support here - looking to build out a bonus structure for a Sales Engagement Mgr role - it isn't a typical sales role - this person will be closing deals but not necessarily securing leads. If they will be scoring leads, it will be organic via conferences, partnerships. Of course, we want to encourage and incentivize this person. Potentially giving then an extra 20-50k bonus potential. How do I leave my role as someone on the talent team. I am on a small recruitment team of only a few people, who connect daily. I am also responsible for sending out updates tracking new hires and upcoming leavers (aka I would be on this list if i decide to leave). If I am looking to leave my company, considering all of these things, how do I do it in the least awkward, most professional way possible? I want to put in at least a two week notice, but will continuing my work after that be weird?

I’m curious if anyone knows of any NY or NYC laws around requirements for an employer to employ a certain percentage of underrepresented minority groups? Would greatly appreciate any guidance here!

Hello! I have a two part question: 1) is it worth it to obtain an SHRM specialty credential if I don’t have the broader SHRM certification? 2) has anyone gotten the People Analytics or Talent Acquistion credential? If so, how valuable was it from a learning perspective? Do you feel it significantly contributed to your knowledge in either area? Thank you!

My company covers in depth results each week, including meetings set/attended, wins, revenue, retention etc. I feel as if evaluating in such depth is detrimental to the psyche, as you never get to “ride the high.” In addition, some weeks are simply slower than others, and it’s not always representative of what the results at the end of the period or quarter will be. Is this not a big deal, and I’m I placing too much importance on it? Or is it beneficial to review results less frequently?

Been a coach at the collegiate level for 6 years. Make a $65k salary. Want to leave coaching and break into sales/marketing/recruiting/consulting. I have ample leadership and recruiting experience with a strong work ethic.
