You guys?
Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?
Flushed and fed yesterday!

Door #2, Bob.
Get that bag, stress less over high profile projects, choose where you want to work/live, build a life you love outside of work. ❤️
Where are you in your career? If it’s fairly early, go for the better work. I’m 20 years in, so I would choose the remote job because the most important thing to me is money. What matters to you more?
You get more money AND can be remote? This industry is starting to implode, earn where you can and save up. Financial security is much better in the long run.
This. Also, you don’t know how many hours for 155k you’ll be required to sacrifice to make this great work.
Honest answer, whichever would be nicer to your mental health and seems like it has a good work life balance.
2, ofc.
After taxes you won’t see the $ from 150k to 170k so do what ever will bring you the best quality of life every day
Mid-year in career (I’m a senior) but in my 40s with big hobbies outside of work, and I chose less fun work. I am not advancing title-wise where I am, but I make as much as ACDs and many CDs and am done every day at 5 and fully remote. I love that I made this choice for me. It really depends on where you are in your life and your priorities.
This sounds like the dream. If you’re hiring let us know!
With the way the industry is going an extra 15k every year can set you up more for later in life.
There are thousands and thousands of people out there looking for jobs that have decent and really good creative work and can’t land something, great work is only going to get you so far at this point but having extra cash on hand could be a life saver.
And what does AOR or DAOR really matter depending on where you are in your career. Clients still hire other agencies and go into reviews. Take the money. Unless you want to be around people. Also know 2 days now is probably 4 days in the next year.
Use the second offer to up the first offer (i want to work with you but i do have another offer on the table. I’m less enthusiastic about that opp but the salary is higher.) They might come up a few grand or say they really can’t and then you decide depending on whether you need to build a book or pay a mortgage.
The only problem with 100% remote is lack of human contact.
Going into an office isn’t “living.”
Agree, 2 days right now. Can easily turn into 3-4 days onsite. Always choose remote honestly & this one pays more! Congratulations on two offers. 🙌🥂🍾
155k for decent creative work and go in to make connections/network. Easy decision.
Do you have your own writing/creative practice on the side? If you do, door number 2 because your work doesn’t need to be the most fulfilling. Do you live alone is another question to consider because being with others is super valuable.
