If direct employees are making more perhaps it's best to wait until you're a direct employee to renegotiate. If you're dealing with an agency now you'd have to go through them and it probably wouldn't be well received. Best approach is to probably just do a great job now and if you become a permanent employee you'll have to a great track record and you'll be able to make a good case for a compensation bump.
I agree with the other commenter. Wait the two months out and negotiate your salary once permanency talks are in the works! Wishing you good luck!
The pay you get now can have more to do with the contracting company than the client company. It would be a lot of hoops to jump through right nowtoo. I’d take the next 2 months to work on salary negotiation for when you are made permanent.
Wait until you're permanent... being contract to employment is equivalent to saying you're still within your 90 probationary period w/o W-2 benefits and wanting to negotiate salary without even proving your worth your current salary... I'll give it to you that you have balls to even consider that move via the the internet, I have zero credible evidence to support your asking position.
