Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

I would definitely tell them towards the end of the interview. It will give you credibility. If they don’t hire you for that reason then you shouldn’t work there in the first place. Very important is they hire you that you stick to that schedule. Don’t come in late by 5 minutes and the next day by 10 or 15 minutes. Not knowing who the employer is and as long as you make up the time. Consistency is very important in a new position.
I would just be honest and tell them your kids school schedule. They either have to work around it or they tell you that they can't. It's best to just be upfront and honest with them.
My inclination is that since they emphasized so much what the daily schedule is, I’d lean towards telling them sooner about the situation. Every company is so different, and it’s hard to say.

Can you not drop kids off at school on your way?
I used to get dropped off at like 7:30 because both my parents left at 7-7:15.
They would hold early arrivals in the cafeteria until 7:45 I think
The school's early drop off isn't early enough to prevent a late work arrival, unfortunately.
