A correctional facility officer sneaks a cell phone for inmates. He gets arrested, and the Sheriff eventually fires him. Apparently, the inmates used his phone to make a FaceTime video call, which was posted on social media. Why would anyone choose to engage in such high-risk activities? I don't get it.

Usually it’s out of fear. Inmates spend their day trying to herb someone, they watch you constantly. I made a point to be in their business, they don’t want you there so they Leave you alone . If you sit in one spot all day , or you’re never on your post, they try you. Some officers come from the Same neighborhoods as these mutts and think somehow they’re friends, so they do extra for those inmates, even things that are against the law. They always find out the hard way how wrong they were.

I would say, he may be someone who is angry with the world and out of control with his emotions; maybe self hating, self sabotaging type; or has a disproportionately deep enthusiasm towards money.
