i think all of his fans love how he’s able to have open conversations with white nationalists. a lot of people haven’t been fair to that demographic so his audience loves being able to lift them up and get their voices heard.
lol poor white nationalists not being given their due
But thanks for answering the question honestly – Rogan fan right here 👆🏼
whilst always kinda political, he really wasn’t as much years ago. rogan used to have interesting conversations with modern thinkers / philosophers, comedians and around MMA/UFC (which rose along side him). he only really got into politics around COVID I believe. afaik he was a bernie guy in 2016. for me, i was into him around then, when he truly had interesting conversations, can’t say i listen much now so not as sure what he talks about today.
I think it's a combination of his charisma and a bit of first mover advantage. I personally don't find him very charismatic, but I can understand the initial appeal of someone who's got an interesting background and is interested in discussing a wide array of topics with different guests. And while he wasn't the first podcaster, he was a big name early adopter, so as the medium's popularity grew, his star did too, and the Spotify partnership only further boosted his reach. I'm not interested in his political views or conspiracy theories, so I never listen.
There is always the little voice, the fear factor guy!! I’ve only watched a handful of podcasts, and they are interesting. Asks some very good questions and overall just a meaningful conversation, not just fluff. Not hip on the political talks, the last one I seen was a guy talking about the Egyptian pyramids soo
Well, he started off with a small following because of his acting and comedy career and then he was just this everyday dude that spoke to other everyday dudes if you’re not, you know somebody who pays a lot attention to the actual news or not particularly over the educated a guy like Joe Rogan really speaks to you and helps you form opinions opinions on things in the world that I actually have to learn about it. I’m not saying that’s a good thing but I think that’s why he’s been so successful.
I will never understand how Rogan accomplished his transformation from 'eat this bull testicle' to 'so here's what I think about biochemistry'. Fascinating.
