I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Deciding between UT-Austin, Cornell and UCLA for tech. Scholarships aside, I love texas culture having lived there for a few summers but its the lowest rank on my list. UCLA has one of the best pipelines for tech but I’m not rich and dont know anyone in LA so would i feel left out given the affluence of the area ? And cornell I loved the student body and the inclusive tight knit nature but do they place well in the west for tech? Can anyone help? Thank you!

About to finish my first year in consulting right out of undergrad. I see a lot of posts on here about job hopping and getting better pay and other benefits for it. What’s the strategy behind this? Currently at a tech consulting firm and love our culture so I’m conflicted
I live in and absolutely love California. No other state compares in my mind (industry, career opportunities, salary, culture, diversity, food, weather, landscape, political inclination, etc). If I were to consider temporarily (2-3 years) moving to another state to accumulate more wealth on the way to FI, what states (specifically cities) would make me least miserable?
Anyone here at Holland & Knight? I’m considering a move but have recently read stories about mass exits by Black attorneys - no one has really explained why. I’m a Black female, looking to move for better exit opportunities, firm culture, international and emerging technology work. Any insight including billable requirements will be appreciated. Target location is the Denver office.
Any insights on QE in terms of work environment and overall culture? I’ve read your name will be put on a list and sent to John Quinn himself if you bill under 200 hours a month
COVID WFH has put me several time zones away from my client (I’m further west and their culture is to start the day early anyway). It’s a new project so I don’t have relationships built up. How much pushback on morning meetings is reasonable? I know the project can’t operate totally around me but these start times aren’t sustainable...

Does Verizon's signal get jammed in ATL? I get bars but no actual connection on the tarmac until I get inside the terminal. Anyone else?
My husband and I have a huge combined family. They are also...well...loud. By loud I mean, laughing, debating, talking, all in good cheer. But sometimes arguments can erupt, and there's really no shortage of entertainment and sometimes drama. We're having a smaller gathering this year and wondering what's the best way to navigate all things COVID and health - we love to be close, hug, etc but I know everyone has different comfort levels and I want to be gracious and appease. What's your expert opinion? #QA
I interviewed a week ago and still haven’t heard back after following up with recruiter today. Is this normal? This is my first interview after undergrad.

Current senior graduating in December 21. Go to a complete non-target but have multiple experiences at well known companies/banks on my resume. Current intern at a very well known tech company in their consulting arm… but have had zero luck on applications. Denied by big 4 through the top 10 for entry level development programs, BA, and associate roles. Had great connections a year ago, but since, they’ve all moved to industry…. What would you do?
Feedback after a final interview, the team thought you were great, but decided to move forward with other candidates......
So I went through recruiting at ACN and the recruiter said they want to go forward with an offer. We discussed some numbers and she said she'll get back in a week. It's been 2 weeks and now I'm getting total radio silence. I was referred for the role and the guy who referred me also got a mail stating that they want to move with the offer. Anyone got any idea what could be happening?
I have been in a role for a few months and really do not enjoy it, how would you go about resigning?
Just received a text from a team member stating two missionaries that traveled through Tokyo were in my classroom teaching (private school). Said they hired a company to deep clean tonight. Thoughts?
