Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

No matter how nice they seem, recruiters are not your friend. You are a commission check. They cast a wide net, usually using the same wording, and look for the best catches.

Yeah I do get that but I still thought they would’ve called as I could have been a good fit for the role by the sounds of it
It’s always been weird to me because they should be setting up their pipeline of future clients by leaving positive impressions on as many people as possible

I would follow up. They tend work on current openings, so if u have not heard back it means that particular position was closed/filled.

Thanks, I’m going to follow up on Monday and hopefully they get back to me
Recruiters work for their commission and nothing else, horrible bedside manner.
Unfortunately recruiters have multiple potential candidates lined up to increase talent pool. It’s ultimately up to the company’s to pick and choose who they move forward.
Pretty much - there are very few good ones. Most of them are just looking for an easy sell. So if there’s anything about your resume that’s not exactly what the company is looking for or you’re iffy about the opportunity, they ghost you
