I had a terrific interview yesterday for a Sales leadership role (within CSG). I didn’t get to ask the HM’s opinion on the role and team going forward but she asked me for more time to talk and how much notice I would need to give which naturally are promising signs.
If you truly are looking for new opportunities and are reticent to join companies doing layoffs then you will not be applying anywhere for a long time. Even in good times companies will do cost cutting, including headcount.
Folks need to remember 2021 and the 1st half of ‘22 were the abnormalities— NOT the standard!

I think it’s the way it was posted given several posts before that were about the layoff… good for this person if they get it, it just seems tone deaf…
You are absolutely right. I should have been mindful of that as well in my 1st response. Apologies to any who stumbled upon my reply and got rubbed the not right way.
My own tone comes from the thickening of one’s skin when you are part of one too many of these.
