Whatever tech you use, it MUST be sustainable. Having iPad's, Chromebooks, or SmartBoards that cannot be repaired means you'll end up with lots of "high tech clutter" and many frustrated teachers. Also, make SURE your wi-fi is able to handle heavy traffic or all the tech in the world won't help. (Our district just this year got those issues fixed.)
You have to look at your desired outcomes. For example, if your school is focused on entrepreneurship, then you need to proved the resources for student projects towards that goal. It may be app-supportive and coding friendly technology; it may be artistic technology; it may be communicative technology to host video conferences and such. #BackwardsPlanning
one of the coolest gadgets I head yet to see was a VR goggle type of phone and goggles that our librarian had. she took the kids on virtual tours of the body from start to finish, and the ocean. but there were many more programs that could work well with PBL.
