I left a IB role ~ a month prior to coronavirus having had something else (PE) lined up. Lo and behold, COVID paused hiring, and it has been extremely difficult to justify being unemployed this long (since Feb). Any advice?

We had a Sr. Manager depart from the team and I, among my other teammates, have been working to cover the void. I applied to the Sr. position but was told it would be another year before a promotion could be offered. So I used to work for a company where my job was good, was a director of business solutions for a fashion brand. Only issue was that the CFO micromanaged and ended up leaving. Now HR called and was asking aren't you interested in the offer , HR said that client tried to contact you but you werent responding.
But I didnt receive any call from anyone ..

The style of leads my company provided was different than what they have me doing now. It went from hot inquiries to cold call center calls. Just a little reminder.

I’ve been with my current company for a little over 5 years now and since the start of the pandemic have been WFH. I absolutely love WFH and have always wanted a position in which I could WFH. There is talk of bringing everyone back to the office full time and that’s not what I would like to happen. I’ve been searching for a new position in which it would be a remote role. My current company also said I am maxed out in term of what they are willing to pay salary wise.

A VP told me that if I don't like our new WFH policy that I should find another firm.

Maybe I should, that's okay, but the fact that his response to my concern (2.5 hour commute both ways, not what I agreed to when I was hired) was just "find another firm" really rubs me the wrong way.
