I wouldn’t care if they would name my script “donkey town 2-4-1 burger special :30” as long as they buy and produce it as written.
Sure. It doesn’t matter in the greater scheme of things. But the act of overstepping will be repeated, often. And it’ll become more pertinent and egregious. Just check it once.
Don’t you just love when they re-name them and reveal the joke straight out of the gate? 🤦♂️
I wouldn’t care about donkey town either. It’s when they name it. “excellence in high fast food user service” that grinds my gears a bit.
I prefer the original name “Ass Village”. It makes it move.
If they want to write, they should have their work reviewed like all the creatives. And Before the client meeting.
Or expect a delivery link as a courtesy, 5min before the meeting that I’m expected to lead anyway.

It’s not even _changing_ the names sometimes. Account people will just refer to the spot by which particular product or category it’s about, not the title the writer gave the spot.
“Can you send me an mp3 of Q3 Sony BOGO?”
No, Janet, I have no idea which one that is. I just did five spots called “Pickleball,” ”Shopping Cart,” “Rock City Non-new,” “Surround Sound,” and “Stereo Lemonade Stand,” so I’m gonna need you to give me one of those titles or an ISCI.
Oh, that’s right; the ISCIs haven’t been assigned yet.
