After a month of interviewing and a clean background check, a company told me I’d be brought on once they finished reference checks. It’s now been 6 weeks. I was honest about my short work history (longest stint is 8 months), so I don't think it's that. But now they're not returning my calls or emails. Why would a company put you through all that just to ghost? Is this just how it is now?

You did an interview and your interviewer apologized that the travel time 180minutes was much higher than 30minutes scheduled time for the interview and that It could have been done remotely, but she has to follow the process. I am still waiting for feedback though.

I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. This was 1 week ago and I have still not received any call. Has anyone else faced the same issue? And if yes, should I even expect a call fro HR?

Got my MBB offer as an Exp Hire! A few insights from my case prep. I practiced ~10 cases solo using Case Coach videos. I'd watch the interviewer speak, pause the video, practice (speak out loud, ask questions, explain my approach, even time myself), then play to see what the candidate did, and evaluate myself for gaps.

I also learned the evaluation criteria and internalized the generic case frameworks.
