After booking an overpriced airbnb for 7 night family vacation in Bologna, Italy — I was asked to provide ID info and charged outside of the airbnb booking platform, and additional $160 for “municipal city tax” which breaks out to 7 euros per person per day for 2 adults and a child. Seriously? Airbnb was totally fine with this being charged outside their platform and the host was like 🤌 then don’t stay here. The travel gouge is getting exhausting, next year we staycation.

529 Plan VERSUS Prepaid

We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.

Does anyone have recommendations on which plan to go with for each child? I once did the pros and cons on a whiteboard and it seemed like 529 was better.

Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.

Can her mom get her a passport in the US and ship it to her? Is there anyway around this?
