AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I get where you're coming from, but honestly, “selling yourself as the best deal” feels so disheartening when you know your worth. Experience shouldn’t be seen as a liability. It’s about showing them the value you bring—less training, fewer mistakes, and faster results. How do you pitch that?
I think that is really coming from a scarcity mindset. There are jobs out there looking for your skills and experience and not just looking for a cheap worker. You get what you pay for.
