BS in business, MS in public policy from top 10 public schools. 2 yoe working in a security operations center & 2 yoe as big 4 consultant (mostly in GRC and SecOps strategy). I have my security + and CISA. 80k base in a MCOL.

I hate to see good people go because of money. Why don't the firms just pay them more? It's almost impossible to find new replacement managers and so it would be worth it to pay up.

What is ideal ctc for 8.5 yoe Dotnet lead developer? I have worked in cognizant and EY. Now looking for change.

To legally recommend who can work, a Hiring Hall is required to be certified by the majority of workers in construction or garment industries. How is software certs able to avoid this law?

I have 4 yrs of exp as full stack developer and my current CTC is 15 lpa and notice period is of 3 months. I got an offer from another firm for 24lpa but they have shared the offer letter of DOJ after 2 months and asked me to negotiate my notice period or look for buyout. What should I do in this case? Should I connect with my current hr to negotiate? Cause I tried convincing the new hr to share the offer letter of DOJ after 3 months but she is not in the favour of that.

Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. When a new type of project comes in and you get assigned as the PM to “figure out” the project plan, how do you go about resource allocation?
