“Please advise” or “what are your recommendations” are phrases you can use. I would include what options you’ve already explored. Tip for emailing leadership is to NOT have long emails/paragraphs, keep it short or have a bulleted list and include the BLUF.

Main things to cover are 1) what is the problem and 2) what do you want them to do as a result of reading your email.

Cover those clearly upfront then add any additional information about the problem, potential solutions, etc

helpful

Also list out all options you’ve tried and why they don’t work. Save a lot of time.

Keep it brief

Be clear on what you're asking for (e.g. advice, a meeting, referral, time, permission, approval)

Tell them your problem

Tell them what you tried so far and what you're doing now that your stuck

Be brief

Draft the email and what are some of the key elements I should cover and covey in that email?

Thank you all for your input!😊

Brigadeiro are scrumptious dulce de leche caramel bonbons, a beloved confection of Brazil. Brigadeiro is made from sweetened condensed milk, butter, and cocoa powder which is heated in a saucepan until it thickens and becomes a sticky caramel. Once it cools, it is rolled into a ball and dipped in multicolored sprinkles.

The iconic bonbon was named after Brigadeiro Eduardo Gomes, a 1946 presidential candidate. It was created to win voter support. (He lost).

Hi guys! I work as a software engineer and the work is very easy, I’m somewhat bored. I have family in FAANG, and I’m looking to get into it for the $$ and hopefully to work on new technologies.

Chatted with a recruiter for a PM role, he quoted a 150K base salary with equity being around 75% of base. Does this mean that equity is expected to be ~112K each year, or is it 28K each year given a 4 year vest?

I'm currently on £60k at a start up. Just got offered a job at a games company with a salary of £50k + 15% bonus 😖 I immediately spoke to them and told them that is way below my current salary and they raised to £56k + 15% bonus which would put me on £64.4k total comp. I've said I'll think about it and hope they raise the offer again.
Should I not consider this at all if they don't at least match my base? I have been aiming for £70k-£80k when looking at new jobs

Hi All, I am in so much dilema. Got a call from Infosys HR and a deal was struck at 28l. However it appears he is not getting approval for that number and I may be asked to consider 25l or 26l as lead consultant. Yoe 13.5 and tech stack is ETL technology, also have PM knowledge. I am not sure why the HR would say a number if he cannot get approval for the same.

Told a friend of mine in tech I was considering moving to BCG. He asked me if I would have to move to Boston.

I followed up by asking what he thought the top consulting firms were. "I'd guess PwC and then McKinsey are the best. I've also heard of KPMG, Deloitte, and Bain, but I don't know much about them."

Just a reminder that outside our bubble no-one really cares about firm prestige etc.

Help - how do I fight claims by scammer healthcare providers?

I recently went to 2 different providers.

Dentist, made appt via Zocdoc to see a dentist that was in network. Another dentist at the location saw me instead who was out of network. I have text evidence they said it would be covered before visit. Claim was denied - asking for ~500 dollars.

Saw a specialist who’s office staff verified my insurance would fully cover the claim. Get the claim, says they are out of network. Owe 600.
