Hi fishes,
Any guess how many people are laid off from Publicis sapient in past few days? Really scared for my future as I'm also under probation period and deeply regret for my choice of joining this firm...I don't understand why were they recruiting peeps when they were short of projects. Publicis Sapient

Yates was fired because she didn't uphold her position as a justice department official. She is required to enforce the law, she decided to not do her job so she was fired. If you decided to start making bagels and not complete your deliverables you would be fired as well.
@a1 her job is to make sure that the laws are followed and if a law - specially one created by a 31yo that's tripping on power - that was not vetted via the proper channels or agencies maybe questionable is properly reviewed. The problem is not her getting fired. The problem is using the words "traitor". The problem is this administration thinking they have no one to answer to.
She was fired for attempting to uphold the CONSTITUTION ... you the law of the land. This is deplorable
But we're overreacting and not giving this tyrant a chance

Big red flag when someone who takes a principaled stand against a law that may be unconstitutional is labeled a "traitor." Our robust free press has been told to shut up, and has been labeled "fake news." It will not be long now before those who oppose the government (or specific actions of the government) are labeled un-American.
SC1 That is a link to a valuable story that I consider quite important to read.
She only had a handful of days left on her position. She made a decision to enforce what she felt was right, interpretation of the law from her department. She knew she would be out anyways in a matter of days, soon as Sessions gets through the hearings. Not a big deal, she was going to be "fired" anyways.
I hope as a private citizen she goes after him. Maybe she can work at the ACLU
