Square is 84k salary 5k bonus and 80k stocks vesting over 4 years
Veeva is 100k salary 20k bonus and 25k Stocks each year forever
Teletracking is 125k cash 5k bonus
I know about Square the most and if they paid closer to Veeva and Teletracking I’d probably go there but it seems like they underpay.
The Veeva culture seems really good but it’s a sustaining engineer position for year 1 so debugging

Yeah, run away :))
JK, but it's def a grind. Sometimes the other side always looks good. (I'd love to get a commission on stuff I get sold etc).
I'd definitely find some creatives at different levels and different agencies and talk to them. Find out what you like (and maybe more importantly what you DON'T like–art directors are not producers are not strategiest etc, but there's sometimes skill overlap). See how they got started, what they think about their jobs now, and look at their books.
You're definitely going to need a portfolio, but that's kindof step 1 of many (just to set expectations) also be prepared for the pressure of that being your first impression/job worth/competitiveness metric for a very long time, so it's never "done".
If you can find others also trying to break into creative, collab with them. Partnering on projects get you experience ideating and working with a partner, and are mutually beneficial bc they'll need the same on their end.
Good luck!
Do you have a portfolio of work?
Advice is to do any other career, any where else in the world. Seriously. Dont follow this dream. Stay in sales, get into accounting, become a dentist. Do creative stuff for yourself in the evenings and hang it on the fridge.
It sounds like you might assume it’s an easier switch than you think but dude, anyone who works in the creative field made a life decision to live creatively. They really want to be making movies, have art exhibits, etc. but have to pay the bills with a day job. Creativity is a drive, not simply a trained skill. If this sounds like you, I’d say start getting to know creative workers and feel out the headspace.
