One of my colleague on H1b joined Deloitte an year back. When he initiated his GC, there was law firm change happening in Deloitte and his request was placed on hold. After constantly following up, for 5-6 months new law firm informed that he only has an year left before max out and refused to file PERM. He reached out to Talent too but with no result.His visa is expiring in next 4 months and recently Talent informed that he cannot take transfer to India due to annual freeze. Any options?

Is there anyone here who have less than 2 years remaning in their H1 visa but still got hired by new employer? Just wondering if its still ok to jumpship at EY - i have 20 mos left. I was told that they need to have minimum of 2 yrs but there’s exception to those who have approved I-140. How did it go for you? Did EY expedite your GC processing?

Found out that I’m getting paid $5k a year less than other new grad hires in the same department and level as me (was told that new grad hires would get paid the same regardless of role). New grads were also told that we cannot negotiate pay because women tend to negotiate less than men and they wanted to keep things fair. We have one that emails the entire firm every few days with these SCREEDS that are like weird stream of consciousness accusations of baseless criminal and unethical conduct. So far there have been 2 emails already today. A GAL has been appointed and ordered to do a psych eval on this party, but is there any sense in responding in the mean time? Everything we say seems to get twisted.

I recently left solo work to an in-house role where I am the only poc my team. I honestly feel my team has never had a poc on the team coupled with the fact that I’m much younger. 08 grad.I’m still learning ropes I can’t help but get this sense that they feel I’m not qualified but was only hired as a “diversity hire”. I feel so out of place. They’re nice folks but the comments makes me so uncomfortable as if they’re working with a first year who doesn’t know a lot. Tell me it gets better please!

I am not sure what to do. My company just had another round of massive layoffs. So far my job was spared. I do got a job offer from a different company but the salary is way lower than what I have now (20,000$ less). Should I choose for financially stability but with a lower salary, or take the risk, keep the higher salary, but have a high chance to loose it as the company isn’t doing great.
