I’m so tired of US companies hiring remote Canadian employees offering to pay a fraction of the price for the same role.

This is consistent across the majority of the tech companies. While I am looking to exit consulting, don’t want to be paid 50% of what my colleagues would be making across the border.

I received an offer for $74k as underwriting analyst. Company is based out of DC. Is $74k a good offer? Or should I negotiate for more. 6 years in the industry. 5 as an account manager/underwriting assistant

Just wanted to brag a little. This may not be much for some but I’m super excited. I graduated with a B.A in chemistry July 2022 and I start my job this Monday with a salary of 60K! Asking for wife who's also in banking. If she got ~$100k in signing bonus in 2019 for 1 year commitment in CA and started FT in July 2020, assuming she leaves before July 2021, can her employer claw back full amount in California? Some say it's much tougher to do so under CA law but wonder if anyone has any insights. Banks won't likely care about analyst signing bonuses, but associate bonus at EB with diversity bonus can be significant. If she quits before, she won't be going to another bank.
