Seats aero is solid, but before you start paying for these types of services, you need to figure out where you're actually trying to go. Points.yeah is free but not reliable for alerts, so try poking around there first just to get an idea of what is even possible.
I booked 2 biz seats to Tokyo later this year with 55k~ Venture X miles each, but I didn't need any services because I booked them right at release at calendar open. So at open you really don't need the service. For random or last minute stuff though, you will want it.
Figure out what routes interest you and how to redeem those routes. I practiced my booking for a week prior to understand the exact release and booking process, since those seats are gone within minutes.
How do you figure out when the calendar opens?
Can you elaborate on why you feel unable to use them?
Generally points are maximized when you can have flexibility on: where you’re flying, when you’re flying and if you’re open to positioning flights. If you’re trying to find specific dates and locations, your odds for a value redemption plummet.

It’s the flexibility part. My dates tend to be a bit rigid (I have +/-3 days) and then coupled with I just give up easily and pay for a ticket 😞

I feel that. You basically need to book at calendar open or just get lucky. Sometimes people book a refundable flight and set alerts. Availability can open up 7-10 days beforehand.
Otherwise, I would shift over to Chase points since Hyatt is a pretty reliable and solid transfer. Amex and C1 don't really have any low effort transfers, unless you count Amex 1:2 for Hilton, ideally during transfer bonuses, but Hilton point values have taken a beating.
I flew 185,000 miles in J & F last year for 2 people on ~500,000 points all found via seats.aero. Wouldn’t have been possible without it
