Just went through it not long ago from an employee referral. PI - D&A
1) couple days after applying / referral a recruiter reached out for a call. Call was semi technical but mostly understanding the work I’ve done, why I’m interested in EY, and answering questions. Was told I’d move forward at end of call
2) week later received an email from HR scheduling a 1 hour call with SM. Much more technical, deep dive into resume
3) week or so later received email with invite to Tyson’s Corner for an interview day the following month. This consisted of 2 SMs and 1 partner. All were a strong mix of technical and personality based questions, no true case questions/studies but some scenario based questions (e.g. how I would go about s specific tool assessment or implementation).
4) Interview was on a Friday, received verbal offer Monday for a start date about 3 weeks out.
Hope that helps! I can say I was very impressed with how smooth the process was. It felt very organized and the interviewers were very qualified but extremely welcoming
I had a phone screen than a superday with 4 back to backs and networking.
Band 6
Yup IBM1 story is accurate
Yup - but going to a competitor. Behaviorals are like every other firm. Not very technical compared to other big 4 but that all depends on the team youre interviewing with
What is your industry? Does EY hire entry level ATM?
Interviews can be deeply technical - depends on the practice you're interviewing for.
They seemed extremely flexible on location (so long as it’s a city with presence and good airport). I think if you have ties to your current location and they want you, you won’t see any issue
Just curious you band level, thanks
I’m a 6A! @Consultant1
Did you get an offer? @IBM1?
A recruiter just reached out to me on LinkedIn and we had a 5 min phone screen then I got an email saying I have 2 in person interviews!
Are the interviews like IBM?
^following
Thanks so much @IBM1 for your insight
I asked the recruiter was it going to be technical cause IBM gave me a tech one that made me feel like I should go back to school
I’m interviewing for an opportunity in the SAP Practice @manager1
You reached out to the recruiter or they reached out to you? Did you apply online? Trying to figure out the best way to get an interview
A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn saying I would be a great fit at EY @IBM3
I got referred
Thanks @SA1
I’m all for organized interviews and stuff!
Did you get a say so or recommend that you wanted to relocate?
There’s not a EY in my city, there’s one a hour away but I’ve been wanting to move back out of state
Thanks @SA1!
The closest location to me is a hour away in a small town but I was looking to moving to a bigger city due to airports like Chicago, Houston or Atlanta
