Hi is it good to say that I already have an offer letter of one company(X) to another company(Y) to get better offer, I just got scolded by HR for this. also I lost the opportunity in Y.

HR scolded me regarding trust issues, time taken to interview a candidate, you will go and come back again to negotiate and what not, all I wanted to was just to improve my current offer.

Title vs Comp?
Have 2 offers, both in Bay Area Offer 1: title: Director, total comp: 300k ; Offer 2: Title: Sr Manager, total comp: ~ 350k. Both are very comparable companies ( non-FAANG) & role. I am titling towards the 2nd but still a little confused. Is better title more rewarding in longer/medium term e.g., when looking for the next job?
