Hi Fishes,
Cleared interview with AWS but the role went on freeze, HR said my result is valid for 6 months and may choose to directly extend an offer when role is again available. Can anyone in AWS share any insights about the current freeze and if you see things getting better within 6 months.

Hello Fishes 🐟🎏
I am rigorously looking for a job from past few months and tried applying many opportunities i came across, but everywhere I receive is Rejection or No response at all. I am not sure what needs to be added to my profile to get more attention or is it really something because of my Notice period which is 90 days at HCL.

Any additional info on the process. Also, any tips moving forward in interview process, especially given industry - consulting transition. Thanks!

Most ad coms will say round 1 and round 2 have no difference other than you find out decision sooner. Some schools (UVA) give more scholarship to earlier rounds. The general advice is apply when your application is best (e.g. gmat score, project experience, post promotion)
Round 1 is easier when you count the amount of deferrals that get in R2/R3. All things equal R1 is better but that is outweighed by having a worse app.

If you’re going to have a better application round 2 (gmat, EOY promotion, additional projects, etc) then do round 2 otherwise jump in ahead of the pack and hopefully find out earlier. Round 1 tends to get more scholarships but isn’t hard and fast.
