Hello All, I have offer in hand of 27.5 LPA+15% variable from ZS Associates as a BT Solutions delivery consultant and now my current company is ready to retain me by matching the offer & assuring that they will send me onsite to UK in couple of months. Now I am in a dilemma of what to do as I have been looking for onsite opportunities for my entire career so far. Kindly share your thoughts. GH2 speaks the truth. Spoiler alert: we aren’t truly “technical” - it’s a farce. Also if you want a “project/product management” type role, versus coding, and want to be known as “technical,” consulting wouldn’t be the logical route I’d take if career progression is your ultimate goal. If cash money milli is your goal, and you love continually creating/editing powerpoints or taking meeting minutes more, then I’d say consulting makes sense...because you’ll be doing that 10x more than actual technical project or product management. Interesting logic path though.
You’re looking to move away from hands-on dev to more of a strategic or project/product manager role? Or do you want to continue coding? Either is fine, just curious and want to help steer you towards the right opportunity.
Hi! I’m looking for project / product role. I don’t mind coding but really kind of keeping to a minimum in my next role.
