Any good advice or perspectives on interviewing for manager roles? I have been at my current startup since I was an IC (now Sr. Manager) and am ready to explore new opportunities - but have no idea where to start in preparing my interview materials!

Does anybody know what Akerman’s hiring timeline is like after the interview?

Had an interview for an associate position at Citi. Interviewee was based in London and I’m in NYC. The only interview time that worked was 6am. I was barely functioning and feel like I truly messed up in my answers because I couldn’t not think clearly. I have another with the head of the division next week again at 6am (pre determined before this interview). It was also hard because the division’s core work is private enough that there was not much prep I could do beforehand. Tips?

Anyone have any suggestions on how to break into this field as a mid-level commercial litigator? I was thinking of taking the CIPP-US test but would that be enough to get some interview traction?

Attended multiple first rounds for mphasis(full time - Texas location). But still I didn’t hear any feedbacks from any of the interview panels/consultancy companies. Seems like they are conducting interviews for name sake and letting us to get wait for the results (for more than a month)

I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. This is a major red flag, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out since this role pays 50% over what I currently make. Should I let the recruiter know? What’s your take on this?

I interviewed for KPMG on 11/15 for a Senior role and the HR emailed me on 11/16 that everyone liked me but they think I should be hired as an Experienced Associate. I had a call with the HR on 11/17 wherein we discussed about my salary expectations and the HR said he will get back in a day. It’s been more than 10 days and multiple follow ups but still no response. I don’t think I was rude while talking to the HR, I just told my current salary and asked for min. that no. Did i miss the chance ?

I recently saw a job opening at a company that I really love, and would like to apply. The recruiter has posted it on her Linkedin several times, each time with multiple hashtags about diversity. I am straight off the Mayflower white. Does applying look super tone-deaf? Is this an unofficial way of stating that they’re only considering non-white individuals for the role?

I no longer have access to the Microsoft bowl due to the change in work email address, so I thought I'd see if any Microsoft management (former or current) are in here. I’ve been negotiating a settlement on behalf of a client. OP is a major corp. we’ve gone back and forth for months, almost a year. Finally came to a final agreement and we’re reviewing for final signature. Then client is reviewing and decides they want something else modified. It’s a point of contention. OP has said no. Should I communicate this to client before pushing back against OP’s rejection of the mod?
