Is anyone interested in taking over the lease for a top floor 3 bed 2 bath, 1500 SQ ft apartment in a newly built complex in Plaza Midwood? The lease runs through Sept 2023. It's one of the nicest complexes in the city, has close proximity to Uptown, and has excellent amenities (e.g. CrossFit style gym, two pools, dog park, on site complimentary cafe, etc.). Given all the recent buzz about expected large raises around the big 4, I’d like to level set on the average salary for a 4th/5th year female senior manager in federal tax ( credits & methods group) in the Midwest - Chicago/Minneapolis/Detroit market. Anyone willing to share a range if they work in a similar area of tax / similar level? I recognize all groups vary greatly in salary expectations, so looking for input specific to my area. Current expectations set at 140-160k. Reasonable?

At any level above Senior, how do u manage the relationship between utilization and realization, which is an inverse relationship. Seems to be either blow the budget (and write it off), or eat a lot of time.

It’s hard to trust the partners/leadership when they want us to return to office as being better when we increase offshoring? Also, the pressure on billable hours when all that really matters is how much our fixed labor costs vs. how much we can bill (which is usually fixed fee or at least a range) and the fixed labor costs of offshoring is significantly cheaper so the hours don’t matter. Am I mistaken by this viewpoint?

Working for a senior who is beyond horrible. She talks to you like you’re stupid and makes it sound like you’re absolutely terrible at what you’re doing. She’s made 5 other associates cry during her 5 year career. Got someone fired and made another person quit. For the one year of work experience requirement to get CPA license in CO, when did you qualify? Do they just do 1 year from DOH or do you need to have charged 1,800 hours of client work?
