I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. I feel like it gave the impression that I don’t know what I’m doing. Any suggestion how I can recover from this?

I have been trying to exit consulting for a while now. I am gonna get the EAD card for Gc somewhere around mid next year. Should I wait till I get it or should I make a move? Reason I ask is I’m getting very few callbacks and I think it’s coz I’m on a H1.

I’m currently in a lease admin type role, in commercial real estate. I make a base salary of $50.5K with about $9k in bonuses. I’ve continuously received 7-10% raises over the last 3 years. I anticipate getting a promotion this year and would like to get closer to $60k for my base salary. I’m the only person in my role at the company and have been a key person in developing our team as we look to expand. Is this unreasonable? Is there a normal increase given with promotions? Need some feedback! So I was forced to move jobs about 6 months ago due to reorg and the new leader opting to bring their existing EA with them, without even meeting me. If stayed at the company but accepted an offer for a job outside of the department I was in. My work gives us points/money for achieving certain activities such as exercising for 180 mins per week. I have my Apple Watch automatically sync with the app that tracks our activities and it works great. Problem is I started using NRC (Nike run Club) app for runs and it interferes with the Workout app on my Apple Watch and it doesn’t get tracked.
