A manager I work with is my official mentor at the firm. They expected me to do something for them in busy season when I was booked on another client, but when I try to get time to talk to them about my reviews or performance, they seem to just ignore my invites or reschedule constantly and last minute. I have a CD that gets extremely flustered when you ask them for their opinion on a solution. For example after showing them multiple color pallets and CD not quite liking any of them (real Goldie locks moment) i suggested why not we do (fill in three colors here), the CD freezes up and gets annoyed because they don’t want to say yes or no without seeing it in front of them. Working on tight turn arounds and a cd who is too busy for meetings it proving tough with remote working. Any tips?

Art Directors. How protective are you of your references and resources? I have a folder with lot’s of textures, mockups that I’ve spent time building. I even paid for some of those assets. So I always get a lot of compliments on my comps and decks. Sometimes someone ask for my files and I really don’t want to since I put so much effort on that. But I also feel bad being gatekeeper of things.

Need a little perspective: Did you get faster at brainstorming ideas as you went along in your career? I’m one of the only juniors at a mostly senior agency and having trouble keeping up.
